Kenyan actress Nyce Wanjeri has opened up on trying to take away her life thrice. At the time she was depressed after being in a relationship she claims was abusive for 9 years.

Sharing her experience with Mungai Eve, she narrated

"The drivers told me off saying they wouldn't kill me. I tried lying on the road so that cars would run over me but ironically no cars would pass.

I tried stabbing myself when my daughter for the first time asked for a potty. I was ashamed of myself for wanting to leave my daughter behind over my ex."

 She further alleged,

"He would never come home, but people would report to me about his cheating ways. My grandmother passed away.

One day I decided to leave him, by the time he found out I had moved out it was 15 days later."

Nyce says she put up a facade that she was happy yet she was dying inside.

"I lost two good contracts over his jealousy. When I chose myself, things started aligning themselves. I kept my focus on the dream more than what I was going through.

When you are first born and you are constantly used to hiding some things,you get used to it. That is why I focused on the happy side. It is my child and my career that made me hide the ugly side anymore.

I no longer feel inferior and I found love. It is something that I would want every man/woman to experience."
