Churchill Show Comedian Nasra Yusuf has used her social media platform to raise over Sh 600k shillings and purchase dry foodstuff for drought-hit areas in the northeastern part of Kenya.
On her Twitter account, the comedian expressed how northern leaders neglect their people just for some misplaced priorities like building malls.
"So Northeastern leaders can do 50 Million plus fundraisers to build a MALL but canβt do the same to FEED their people?? in less than a week, I have used my platform and I have raised over 600k and FED the people! retweet this until they see it and go back to their dying people," she wrote.
The influencer also took to her Instagram and thanked all her followers for contributing and making it possible.
"Your donations have fed hungry and thirsty people ππππI canβt control my tears of happiness ππππthank you for trusting me with your moneyππ @mummiefrancie Asante for using your voice, it really had an impact!πππ"
Earlier last week, Nasra was left in tears after visiting people affected by drought, and that's when she started appealing for help from Kenyans.
Many Kenyans have been moved by this and have congratulated her for taking that step.
