Journalist Njogu wa Njoroge who was allegedly fired from Mediamax has been appointed to a state agency.
Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts CS Ababu Namwamba appointed Njoroge to serve as Kenya Film and Classification Board Chairperson.
Njoroge who is a veteran Kikuyu radio presenter vied for the Njoro MP seat on a UDA ticket but lost in the primaries.
He was appointed alongside board members John Muigai Nyururu, Hariety Namwezi Zitah, Stephanie Kamene Maseki, Kipruto Kiptoo, John Osimbo, Grace Mwendwa Munjuri and Raphael Ekadeli Loperito.
"The seven appointees will be members of the Kenya Film Classification Board, for a period of three (3) years," the notice reads.
On Friday, January 21, 2022, Njoroge confirmed that he had officially joined UDA and will be vying for the Njoro constituency parliamentary seat during the General Election.
He was received by DP Ruto, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Kikuyu legislator Kimani Ichungwa at the DP's Karen residence.
