"Kwame" is the new jam by the Kenyan rapper, Khaligraph Jones which features the voice of Tanzanian and East African crooner, Harmonize.
Speaking during an interview with Kwambox and Obinna on Kiss FM, OG as he is fondly referred to said he approached Harmonize to feature in the song.
He praised the Konde Gang CEO saying he is passionate about his career.
The muscular rapper also revealed that he had wanted to feature another artiste but the response he got was not good.
"So, I reached out to Harmonize and I recorded the song. I wanted to have another guy but I didn't like his response when I approached him, " the musician said.
"Then I reached out to Harmonize and he was very positive. He had a good interest about the song. Sometimes you collaborate with an artiste but they end up not promoting the song."
Khaligraph said he was to release the song in 2022, but when it didn't happen, Harmonize kept pushing him to release the song.
"I liked that. We traveled to Tanzania and he received us very well. There is a mentality that we need to have sponsors to work with. I pay everything for myself," he said.
The talented singer added that Harmonize bought the costumes they used to record the video.
"He bought my gym attires and he is a good guy and it was amazing working with him."
The video features both Khaligraph Jones and Harmonize in a vibrant and colourful setting, and the two artists celebrate their success and determination in reaching their goals.
The video is a celebration of their journeys and their successes and is sure to be a hit with fans of both artists.
