Nyashinski's wife, Zia Bett, and her sister Diana have shared their grief story after losing their sister Janet Bett-Karoney.

Speaking in a live session on their Instagram pages, the two lovely sisters described Janet as the coolest sister.

Janet passed on 18th October 2021 after battling a blood disorder called aplastic anemia.

At the time, she was married to Brian Kipchumba Karonney.

"We lost our sister Janet in 2021. Janet was my younger sister and Diana's older sister. In our family, we are five siblings. She was loving, sweet, and kind. She would cry whenever I would be beaten. At one time she shaved her hair after my mum shaved mine," Zia recounted.

Diana said they had a good sibling relationship growing up.

"She would cry whenever anyone was bitten."

They described their sister as their best friend.

"She was funny and made us laugh."

The two sisters narrated how sibling loss is the most underrated as most people care about parents.

They said that their sister had been super healthy until one day she started saying she was feeling tired and weak.

After a few tests, Janet was diagnosed with aplastic anemia.

"It was a very trying time for us. Our lives shifted and our focus was on her life. It was hard doing the fundraising and we had to do a kidney transplant," they said.

Doctors had recommended a bone marrow transplant.

They both recounted not having any clue about the condition even after she was sent to India.

Zia said a week before she died, God told her and Diana at different times that she was going to pass.

"I get spoken to in a dream that Janet was not going to make it," Zia said.

Diana added that she had taken a day off as things were going wrong and she needed to pray.

"I would take a day to pray for Janet. Show me how to pray. God revealed a song about a funeral. God told me not to pray for Janet, just pray that she will be at peace, and after that is the day she died. When God asked me to pray for those things, I still prayed for God to intercede and save her life," Diana said.

The two said they started mourning when she was still alive since they knew she was going to die.

The two siblings said that their first year without her is that it was exhausting.
