Mukami Mwaura, wife to politician Isaac Mwaura is celebrating her miracle son, Njiru today.
The couple welcomed triplets back in 2017 and sadly lost two of them months later after being admitted to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Her son, Njiru is six years today and the parents have all the reasons to celebrate. Through her social media platforms, Mukami said her life changed forever when her babies arrived.
She also paid tributes to her two children who unfortunately did not make it.
"Six years ago at exactly 10.10 am my life changed forever, my miracle Babies arrived and it was such an overwhelming experience. My life became so full and Rich. Even with all the pain and grief that came with the loss of your brother and sister, I would never have it any other way," she wrote.
Mukami added that her son gives her a reason to be alive every day describing him as a fighter and a warrior.
"Happy Birthday to my 1 kg miracle, Njiru, My fighter, and my warrior! The one person who has proven that the tiniest gifts come in the most little packages.
My little best friend who likes demanding and throwing tantrums when he doesn't get his way...My pride and joy. Am so proud of the person you are becoming."
She went on to encourage parents to have preterm babies adding that God works miracles.
"To all of the current NICU parents … keep your heads up and never give up faith. I know that behind the walls of the NICU it seems that there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but hang in there, because miracles happen every day. I have living proof angels do exist. See Njiru!"
