Obinna argues that the rich already have everything.

• In Kenya most people have not embraced carrying gifts to a birthday party.

• Most just attend to have fun and eat.

Morning Kiss host Oga Obinna has responded to a statement by Anerlisa Muigai questioning why Kenyans don't carry gifts when invited to a birthday party.

The businesswoman had in a social media post blasted people who also assume giving someone flowers during such an event is a gift.

Obinna now says he cannot bite more than he can chew just to please someone.

"I did not ask you to invite me, some people blackmail you to attend their party. In my financial situation, I feel if I buy a gift of less than 10K then it is not worth it.

So what would I buy with let's say 5K? a cup? plate?

This is not the era of our parents.

"Personally, I attend many birthdays so why, if Ben Paul alishindwa what do you think I can buy Anerlisa to make her happy."

Kamene supported Anerlisa saying that

"I have been waiting for somebody to say it because if I say it I would look like a demon."

In the original post, she wrote

"I have never understood how you get invited for birthdays or weddings but don’t even bring a gift. Flowers are not a gift…I mean, somebody has spent so much putting their event together and then you come to the party empty-handed? Stop,” said Anerlisa

Giving gifts is the best way to express love and make someone feel special.

Gifting helps to define relationships and strengthen the bond with family and friends.

When we give something to someone, it gives a feeling of satisfaction.

Buy a birthday gift not to just wow your friend or relative but now you know it is for your satisfaction too.
