A new local investigative series is premiering on DSTV this coming Sunday 8th January. The Last Door will premiere on Maisha Magic Plus on 8th January at 8:00 PM.

John Allan Namu, the investigative journalist, has been teasing the premier of the series in a trailer featuring Anerlisa and Keroche CEO Tabitha Karanja.

Reacting to how she shed tears in the interview recounting her sister's life, Anerlisa wrote a message on her Instagram stories on Wednesday, January 4 saying,

"This has to be the hardest story to tell. I wish nothing like this for anyone. Careful with the people you allow into your life."

Tecra died on May 2 at a Nairobi hospital while undergoing treatment following a fall in Lamu. During the inquest, we learnt of the relationship between suspect Omar Laali and the heiress Tecra.

The Keroche CEO said they tried to convince Tecra to stop dating Omar in vain. She said Omar killed Tecra when she couldn't give him any more money.

Karanja presented Tecra's bank statements showing she had transferred more than Sh1 million to Omar in over five months.

Omar Lali on his part told the court that their relationship was full of love. He told a packed court that he was never involved in the death of Tecra.

The boat operator from Lamu told Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul that he had never had any disagreement with the deceased during the period of their relationship.

According to Lali, Tecra had accepted to be married to him adding that they enjoyed each other’s company adding that she was jovial, lovely, welcoming, and outgoing.

He recounted the last moments he had with Tecra and how he rushed her to hospital after she allegedly fell from the balcony of a holiday home.

It will be interesting to see what each party says in the true crime series on 8th.
