Kikuyu gospel artist Dennis Mutara has given his fans an update on his health months after he got into a road accident.
Mutara was involved in an accident in 2020 at Mutoho, towards Sabasaba area in Murang'a County.
In an interview with Kikuyu Trending News, the artist says he is yet to fully recover.
" I was deeply affected because my head, chest legs, and other parts had been affected,
People who saw the car did not think anyone survived."
A few months ago, Mutara lost his dad. He says his ailment became worse during that time after he was discovered to have a nerve problem.
"I looked like I had gone back to normal but things started getting bad. I was told my nerves had an issue.
My dad also became sick and passed away, at the time I was in pain because the nerves and the medications are very strong."
The veteran Kikuyu singer was taken to rehab after spending three weeks at Avenue Hospital going through detox in March this year.
A close source told Mpasho.co.ke that the veteran gospel artiste had sunk into depression and had been using alcohol, something he denied in a past interview with content creator Jeremy Damaris.
At the time, Kikuyu gospel singers went live on Facebook urging fans to help raise money for his rehab.
They shared photos of the singer on their timeline announcing to his fans that he is back.
Singer Muigai Wa Njoroge wrote;
'Today we are receiving our greatest talent. Welcome and come and serve God even more.'
Dennis Mutara has been living in Murang'a since he was involved in a road accident in August 2020.
