Mutara has been missing in action for over a year now.
He was last seen in the public eye when he left rehab.
The veteran kikuyu singer was taken to rehab after spending three weeks at Avenue Hospital going through detox in March this year.
A close source told Mpasho.co.ke that the veteran gospel artiste had sunk into depression and had been using alcohol, something he denied in a past interview with content creator Jeremy Damaris.
At the time, Kikuyu gospel singers went live on Facebook urging fans to help raise money for his rehab.
They shared photos of the singer on their timeline announcing to his fans that he is back.
Singer Muigai Wa Njoroge wrote;
'Today we are receiving our greatest talent. Welcome and come and serve God even more.'
Before that, Mutara was interviewed on Kikuyu Diaspora where he said he appeared depression, emaciated and had also lost so much weight.
Dennis Mutara has been living with his mother in Murang'a after he was involved in a road accident in August 2020.
