Former EMB's signee David Wonder is launching his album, 'Mwanzo' today.
The talented singer says the album is a thanksgiving one to celebrate his life.
The album launch will happen along Thika Road today evening.
Fellow gospel artistes will grace the launch.
Through his Instagram page, Wonder said he wanted to do the album but he has been unwell.
"Illness struck in 2022...for msee kama mimi mwenye nimezoea headache ya 1 hour and I'm back to normal even without painkillers seven months being sick is crazy, can't lie the thought of cancelling this sounded like a very good idea but on the other hand if not now when then," he said.
"I believe it was meant to happen like this, I have a feeling that once I'm done with this album I'll be back to normal and I'll give thanks, so...We are doing this."
David Wonder broke off from EMB records and since then little has been heard of David Wonder’s music.
In a previous interview with Mpasho, Wonder said he had been missing from the music scene but that doesn't mean that he is broke.
“I have never struggled. The people who are close to me can attest to this. Someone that is struggling lacks basic needs, which I can say I have. To me, owning a car and living in a bungalow is a luxury,” he said.
“If me not owning cars and big houses is a struggle, then we could say I'm struggling and so are so many other Kenyans,” he continued.
He was asked if he doesn't push his music, and Wonder said, “It is true that I don't push my music as I used to. But I'm working on it.”
Wonder also opened up about battling depression in the past years
"I'd say it is the transition that put me down, but I overcame it.”
