The launch of the Hustlers fund is proving popular according to President William Ruto.

While launching the fund, the Head of State revealed that 600 Kenyans were trying to access the fund after every second. 

The ground-breaking financial solution was launched on Wednesday, 30th November 2022.

"Through the Plan, the government is committed to creating opportunities for millions at the bottom of our economic pyramid to work their way up and fulfill their aspirations.' He told.

The launch took place at Green Park Terminus, Nairobi.

Ruto added that;

"Every angel has a past and every sinner has a future. Even if in the past you have not been good at credit and you have been locked out, the hustler fund is giving you a second chance to begin. Those of you who will be given a second chance, do not abuse it."

To register for the Hustler fund, dial *254#.

After dialing, accept the terms and conditions. Then enter your mobile money PIN. After that, an SMS will be sent to notify you of successful registration and the amount assigned.

In the event of a failed registration, an SMS will be sent to notify you of the same.

Kenyans have taken to social media to share how the registration of the fund is going.

They are also advising each other to spend the money wisely and pay it back on time.

Here are some quick facts about it"

Hustler fund has no committees, No paperwork, and needs zero connections to access.

You only need your phone and a Registered sim card. Hustler Fund will be clustered into 3 products: a) Individual Borrowing (Ksh 500 - Ksh 50,000) b).

Group borrowing (Ksh 50,000 - Ksh 250,000) c). SMEs and Co-operative Borrowing 5% of the borrowed amount is automatically saved.

If let's say you borrow Kshs. 10,000, Ksh.500 goes to your Savings.

You will be able to access 30% of your savings after 6 months, and 70% after you hit the age of retirement through NSSF.

The interest rate shall be 8% per year, translating to 0.2% per day.

This interest rate will apply after 14 days of borrowing.
