CNN international correspondent, Larry Madowo has come out to let netizens know that he does see the online love and hate that they throw his way but it doesn't faze him.

I'd honestly be surprised if it did. You don't get that far in life spending every two seconds of your time worrying about what faceless people say about you.

Posting a photo of him and the talented double Emmy award nominee, Stephanie Busari having a humorous moment (mocking haters probably).

Larry took a jab at Nigerians who had trolled him just a week ago for his reporting of the havoc that floods have wrecked in some parts of the country.

"A Nigerian called me a mumu (foolish) journalist. Another said I’m just @stephbusari with a beard. It’s the violence for me! 🤣" Larry captioned the photo of the two laughing out loud.

Stephanie is CNN's senior editor for Africa who holds a Peabody among other awards.

A week ago, Larry had shared a photo of his body half-amassed in water as he spoke to a woman whose house had flooded. He went on to add that he was doing ‘in-depth’ reporting alluding to the spot he was standing on.

"In-depth reporting on the floods in Nigeria, literally," Larry captioned the photo

In the photo, Larry showed the extent he went to tell the story of the humanitarian crisis facing people living in Bayelsa, Nigeria.

Capturing it all was his camera lady who in the frame is seen sitting on a boat and also appears to have been soaked in the same water prior.

Larry followed the post by sharing a video of him reporting in the floods this time around wearing shorts as he walked around water that went almost up to his knees.

In the post, he wrote, "Taking crazy risks to report LIVE from a flooded city in southern Nigeria. “Nigerians are used to managing. If not, we would have all died. Nigerians care for themselves, we’re just like infants with no father or mother.” Our #NigeriaFloods report on CNN is from Yenagoa in Bayelsa state where residents are angry at the government’s response."

Nigerians did not seem to be at peace with Larry "painting" their country in bad light thus the online attacks.
