Celestine Gachuhi, popularly known as Selina is in Tanzania for an upcoming project she is working on.

Yalaiti, is the first project she is working on since she became a mother. Speaking to Tanzanian media, Celestine said she is proud of the upcoming project.

"This is my first time to be a mum. This is my first time I will be working and also I am expected to be home as a mum and as a wife and I am learning to both," she said. She will be in Tanzania for sometimes the shoot the project.

In September, Selina and actor Peter Kamau popularly known as Biko met with members of the Tanzanian Film Board to discuss collaboration between actors and filmmakers in Kenya and in Tanzania.

The actress highlighted her meeting with the Executive Secretary Dr Kiagho Kilonzo and expressed her love for Tanzanian shows and films.

Speaking about her character Selina, she said it made her give parts of herself to other people.

"I meet different kinds of fans. There are the polite ones, but then there are those who will just grab my hand, and those who will follow me around and stare without saying anything," she said.

With this lead role, she’s had to put school on hold.

"I can’t do this as a part-time job. This is what I do from Monday to Saturday. I’ve had to turn people down when they ask to meet on Sunday because that’s when I can rest and do my stuff," she said.

Selina, the program won best TV drama series at the 2018/2019 Kalasha awards beating out popular productions like Monica, Pete, The Wives and Ithaga Riene.
