Comedian Eric Omondi regrets denying his alleged son with Jacque Maribe in public.
Speaking in a recent interview with Mwende Macharia, the comedian said although he was defending his brand, it was not necessary to expose the child in the drama.
"I regret denying that child in the public. Hasira hasara. I spoke about it and blogs blew the story out of proportion," he said.
In 2021, Jacque Maribe accused Eric of being a deadbeat dad.
"I wanted to clean my brand since fake stories had been said about me. In the process, I tainted the child in the bad light although that was my truth," he said.
Asked if the case was taken in court, Eric said he was told to never comment about the issue.
"I was advised to keep quiet. We did not solve the whole issue but I have a good relationship with the child and also with Jacque Maribe. She is a good friend to me," he said.
Eric Omondi had requested a DNA test on his son with Maribe.
Maribe had said Eric doesn't support his son and that he doesn't pay his school fees. She also lectured him for not knowing where his son lives.
Well, taking to his Instagram page, the self-proclaimed President of comedy Eric shared his side of the story.
Eric further said that after the baby was born, he demanded DNA, but Jacque refused and became angry about that.
"We used protection and after two Months Jacque told me she was pregnant! I immediately ask her how since we used Protection??? She then tells me 'it doesn't matter the mother always knows who the father is and that I am the father'.
During the entire pregnancy, nothing happened and we barely saw each other.
Roughly 4 months after the baby was born Jacque called me and asked me if I would help or be part of the baby's life," he said.
