Award-winning Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi is at loggerheads with Kenyan event promoters over what he termed as letting the industry down.

Omondi sounded a tough warning to all event organizers, asking them to reorganize the industry or else they will suffer.

"Kenyan Promoters are the ROOT cause of all our problems and downfalls as an Industry.

"Warning to all Kenyan promoters and event organizers!!! We are just from elections and that means we are significantly a new nation with new beginnings. We must rebirth, rebrand, and rejuvenate," read a post from Eric.

The funnyman has been making the headlines in the last month with his calls on the Kenyan artists to wake up.

This time he talked about how Kenyan promoters not giving priority to Kenyan artists.

He accused them of inviting foreign artists to perform here in Kenya - threatening to stop all events.

I will personally ensure that all your events fail unless you put Kenyan artists first!!! Pay Kenyan artists first!!! Respect Kenyan artists first!!! Don’t treat Kenyan artists like second class musicians!!!' his post read.

Referencing the fact that Kenya is now under  a new government, he suggested that the industry should also have a new start.

From getting musicians getting paid to them having to concerts first before the foreigners.

'Paying foreign Artists Millions in Flights, Accommodation, Hospitality and Remunerations while paying Kenyan Artists peanuts!!!' Eric bitterly stated.

Yesterday, controversial Eric Omondi was again not a happy man after Nigerian musician Ruger was booked for a show in Meru.

The event scheduled for October 8th, 2022.
