Comedian and Pastor Ben alias Muthee Kiengei has condemned people who are exposing pregnancy on their social media.
Speaking on Kameme TV today, presenters Kiengei and Nonsizi were discussing the importance of keeping some things private.
Kiengei said by keeping secrets, we are protecting our hearts and lives.
"Private life is very important. There is good and bad secrecy. Don't just open your mouth to anyone," he said adding that people have lost jobs, families, and other expensive things because they revealed their secrets to people they thought were their friends.
He also condemned couples who flaunt naked bodies while announcing pregnancies.
About this, Kiengei said it has led to premature deaths of newborn babies.
"I have seen people expose their naked bodies announcing pregnancies. Their husbands holding it like foolish men," he said.
Kiengei was also against baby showers saying not everyone who attends them has the best intentions for the pregnant mother.
"You are exposing your pregnancy to the world. If you did not show us how you got pregnant, stop exposing the pregnancy. That is why you see people losing pregnancy after baby showers. They are even applying makeup to pregnancy. You wonder why people give birth and lose the child. People are not happy about all your success," he said.
In Kikuyu tradition, Kiengei and Nonsizi said a child is not supposed to be celebrated when they are not born.
"Even in the church, we only receive and bless the children after they are about three months," he said.
How about being covered by the blood of Jesus?
"That still does not make sense. It is like saying when I am saved, I cannot be rained on as a pastor..."
