Award-winning actress Jackie Matubia has revealed the amount she spent on her weight loss journey procedure.
Matubia underwent an Allurion gastric balloon procedure to help her with her weight loss journey months after welcoming her second baby.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, the mother of two said the procedure cost her Sh500k
"It's an amazing feeling because you're losing weight so drastically, but nothing comes easy. Six kgs are something I would have worked out crazy for at the gym. My target weight is 75 and I am very sure I am going to get it by December."
Matubia said that she lost 6kgs within four days after having the balloon inserted in her stomach. She further noted that since having the process, she no longer eats as she used to and cannot have more than five spoons.
On the other side, Matubia said her fiance, Blessing Lung'aho, does not agree with her target. "Blessing does not want that and I was like, 'dude ulinikatia nikiwa na hio weight. Anway wanawake tujipende na ile weight tunataka, usiskize bwanako, love yourself," she said.
Last week, Matubia shared a video of how the whole process went and showcasing how the balloon is meant to look in one's stomach Jackie captioned the first video;
"This was last Thursday when I went in for my allurion gastric balloon."
She then shared a video of her swallowing the balloon with a long string (that the doctor held) sticking out of her mouth.
The new mom went on to add, "I was so scared but it was not that bad.
And just like that, it was done... However, after this, you have 3 days of feeling nauseated and a little bit of vomiting. Most importantly hydrate, hydrate! Especially through IV!"
