Tanzanian singer Billnass has explained why he wanted a baby boy, unlike his wife who wanted a girl as their firstborn.

Billnass and Nandy welcomed a daughter two months ago.

Speaking in a recent interview with TonySixteen Tv, Nass said being born in a family of boys always made him wish he could get a baby girl.

"I was born in a family of boys and so while growing up, my mum used to say she wants a baby girl. She loved girls so much. Those days I wanted a baby girl as a firstborn but my brother welcomed a girl before me which was a blessing," he explained.

Billnass added that Nandy was raised in a family of girls.

"My wife's side, they were all girls in her family. The only man is me and another one who married her sister. So, I started wishing if I could get a son first but God answered my first prayer which was to get a girl," he said.

"The other reason I wanted a son is coz of my business and management of my property. I have realized even a girl can manage all that."

Billnass also said that he had promised Nandy many gifts if she gave him a baby girl.

"I thank God, He gave me a daughter and I like I had promised my wife, I gifted her so much. I still have some gifts for her and the baby. I will take her to a certain destination for a vacation with my daughter."

Billnass also rubbished he moved in at Nandy's house after their wedding.

"We have looked for a bigger house that is big enough to accommodate all of us.
