Ugandan musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has penned down a congratulatory message to Kenya’s President-elect William Ruto after the Supreme Court upheld his win.
Bobi Wine acknowledged that Kenya as a country has demonstrated that Democracy has come of age – a lesson to other African Countries.
“I congratulate the President-Elect of the Republic of Kenya, H.E.@WilliamsRuto. Throughout the campaigns, the election, and the Election Petition, Kenya has proven that its democracy has come of age. The Region has many lessons to learn. I congratulate the great people of Kenya,” Bobi Wine said.
In his message, Bobi also thanked Azimio la Umoja's Raila Odinga – describing him as a key pillar in advancing democratic governance in Africa.
“I also congratulate Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga and thank him for his undisputable role in advancing democratic governance, not only in Kenya but in the entire region. On behalf of @NUP_Ug, we wish the President-Elect and all the people of Kenya the very best on the journey ahead,” read Bobi Wine’s message to Raila Odinga.
