Content creator Bahati has reminisced when he briefly 'unseated' President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy president William Ruto during a national celebrations a few years back.

Bahati was entertaining the president and thousands of Jubilee supporters during the official grand launch of Jubilee Party at Kasarani stadium.

He 'forced' president Kenyatta to vacate his official seat and sat on it for approximately 10 seconds while serenading First Lady Margaret Kenyatta with his hit song Mama.

Then went on to do the same to deputy President William Ruto and his wife Racheal Ruto.

Speaking in a YouTube video, Bahati said that was his breakthrough to more opportunities in his life.

"My biggest breakthrough was when I sat on the president's seat while performing for him. It was also the day I found myself in hot soup."

However, Bahati said he mistakenly removed Rachel Ruto's red cap something he said he regrets.

"I was overwhelmed and I ended up removing Rachel Ruto's cap and it was one of those bad hair day for her," he said adding that he felt sorry about it.

"I am still very sorry for that. I have never met her in person to tell her I am sorry but that is something I regret doing."

During the interview, Bahati refuted that he ditched the gospel industry.

"I sing gospel music when I want to speak to my God. I  am not vulgar in my songs and I only sing love songs and love is part of the gospel," he said.

Bahati said the secret behind his success is character.

"Anything I have is because of God. At some point, J blessing told me every artiste has a life span of four years and they stop shining. I have always believed that my star will always shine. You live with people and character for me is the greatest. Live with people well. The more I am lifted, the more humble I become."

He acknowledged that bullies are part of every successful person.

"You cannot be a big name in this country without being hated. "
