A 4-year-old boy is admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital after he was allegedly sodomized by an 18-year-old.
The teen who is allegedly mentally sick further chopped off the boy's privates.
Yatta Sub County police boss Jane Makau confirmed the incident saying the boy was locked up in a house in Ikombe Market before the suspect, who is said to be mentally ill, committed the heinous act.
The victim was rushed to a local health centre where he received first aid before being taken to Matuu Level Four Hospital.
"The minor was received first aid at a private clinic and was later rushed to Matuu Level Four Hospital.
He was later transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi for further treatment," police said.The suspect is being held at Ikombe Police Post pending his arraignment.
