Gengetone artiste Mejja has explained why he does not post too much of his private life on social media.

Mejja said unlike many celebrities who share expensive lifestyles on social media, he uses his platform to speak to everyone.

According to Mejja, some of his fans follow him because they relate to his lifestyle, and posting things like expensive rides and meals on his social media is something he would never like to do.

Mejja was speaking to YouTuber, Presenter Ali, and also narrated an instance when his grandma punished him for eating in the public.

Mejja explained;

"I used to live with my grandma near a garage store. She bought me some snacks as we headed to the house and I started eating them on the way home.

My grandma slapped me for eating in front of people. She told me, there were hungry people on the way and by eating, they could be feeling bad."

Mejja added;

"That was a lesson to me and even now, I do not have to post a soft life on my social media. I understand that some of my followers are broke or even sleeping hungry. It doesn't make sense to me.

God has given me the grace to have that huge following to get hope through me and not to make them feel bad. I am still not perfect."

About his relationship, Mejja said most social media relationships don't work.

"You learn from your past mistakes. You have to be sure of your next one works by not repeating your past mistakes. No need to post your love life. Everyone who exposes their relationship online, mostly it doesn't go well. People even wish you break up and such things."
