Africa's fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala was supposed to travel with the first group of 23 who left the group on Tuesday.

He was not going to the Athletics World Championships in Oregon, USA because of a delayed VISA. After a massive public outcry from Kenyans, Omanyala managed to get his Visa.

He landed in Oregon only two hours prior to his first race. Despite all the exhaustion from the flight he managed to qualify for the 100m semi-final in Oregon, US.

The celebrated sprinter on Saturday morning finished third in heat 7 of the 2022 World Athletics Championships.

Unfortunately, on Sunday morning he failed to qualify for the 100m final after finishing fifth in heat 3 of the semi-finals at the World Athletics Championships at Hayward Field, Oregon, United States.

He took to Instagram to talk about the encounter. "Every challenge you face today makes you stronger tomorrow. The challenge of life is intended to make you better, not bitter.

Persistence and resilience only come from having been given the chance to work through difficult problems.No matter how much falls on us, we keep plowing ahead. That’s the only way to keep the roads clear."

Here are some of the celebrities who have shared their two cents concerning the unfolding story;

Kamene Goro -"He is unable to get it and no one of influence wants to put their foot forward to help him. We have been cheering him for the better part of this year, he's been our silver lining."Kamene remarked.

"Apparently, it's not only Kenya. They (The US) knew very well they were organizing for this competition, they could have liaised with the government of the athletes who were going and clear them," Obinna who works alongside Kamene replied."

The comedian continued by saying- "But they were just like you gonna have to wait when we clear you when we feel like.' So there are a lot of athletes who are stuck in their country they can't make it."

Kamene described people who stand in the way of other people's dreams as enemies of progress, "My oh my don't I have way too many!"

Kabu Simon - "Ferdinand Omanyala O.G.W, agreed. Life challenges teaches us how to be stronger, to develop a thick skin and work extra hard and eventually we conquer.

The best thing is to make a lemon into lemonade. Continue conquering." "Holiday yako bado iko."

Andrew Kibe -"These people were late. You were all late to send your best. Take a second to understand. You are a Kinuthia, and your Kinuthianess is costing our country- whoever it is you are.

Whoever is at the top who made this blunder needs to be found and fired. We look so puny. Even this one thing that we're good at, we can't manage.

The other day I saw the rugby team doing a fundraising. Sijui kama mko na akili nzuri ama nyinyi ni wendawazimu!"

Comedian Njugush used another way to critic the whole situation. He pulled out a funny parody video to dilute away the sad situation which has been viewed over 50,000 times on Twitter.

Anita Nderu-"We are so proud of you! Thank you for flying our flag with pride, honor and resilience. You are a beast on the track. Onwards and upwards from here!Congratulations Champ."
