While Nigeria have Burna Boy, it looks like East Africa have their own in Rayvanny.
The Tanzanian crooner seems to have developed a fetish for burning expensive things for perfect and realistic music videos.
Rayvanny revealed that he had to burn a pricey car for his latest music video, Te Quiero.
Taking to his socials, Rayvanny says that he is proud of the work his director did but is still hurt by the fact that they had to burn an expensive car to the ground.
“I know it is realism but there is no scene that hurt me the most like the scene where we set the car on fire,” said the Tetema singer.
The car is not the first time he has set an expensive possession all for a music video. Less than a month ago he set a house on fire for his 'I miss you' video. Even for the video, Rayvanny said he was in pursuit of authenticity and realism.
In a recent post, Rayvanny said the 'Te Quiero' video had a number of expensive scenes and one includes a scene they shot in a plane.
He said he and his team had to hire an entire plane and a section of the airport so as to accommodate over 100 people for his set.
He wrote, "Katika expensive scenes kuwahi kutokea ni ile ya airpot more than 100 people on set alafu ndani kabisa ya airport kukodi ndege tena muda wa usiku iliwalazimu wa cancel safari ili watupe sisi sikuwahi kuwaza kuna siku ningekodi ndege tena ya abiria.. haikua rahisi hata kidogo." (In the expensive scenes that ever happened it was that at the airport with more than 100 people on set and then inside the airport where we hired a plane at night and they were forced to cancel a flight to allow us to shoot. I never thought there was a day I would rent a passenger plane again .. it was not easy at all.)
