Singer Avril welcomed a son three years ago after keeping her pregnancy under the wraps for nearly the entire period.
The father of her child, however, continues to remain a mystery although there are rumours it might be a fellow popular celeb.
While speaking in an interview with Ala C, Avril said motherhood is by far the hardest task she has ever embarked on.
"Pressure, and stress...You should respect mothers," she said.
"When my son was a day old, that was when it hit me that I no longer had a say. It would always be about him as he now fully depends on me.
In the beginning, I was a walking zombie because I couldn't get enough sleep. Even now I still survive on very little sleep as I also have to chase my dream."
In a recent interview with Citizen Digital, Avril said she would like to add another child although the cost of raising a child is high and the economy is high.
"They say right now it is only rich people who have children since the cost of raising a child is crazy, but I would love to have two or three so that my firstborn would have siblings in life."
Earlier on she shared a sweet message to her baby before her delivery at a local hospital.
"My M, what a ride we’ve had, and now an even more exciting one begins... I’m humbled that you chose me. Thank you, my love. I will love you and protect you now and forever. That is my promise to you," she wrote.
Despite pressure to talk about her secretive pregnancy then, the artist said the reason she took time to address the pregnancy is that she wanted to do it at her own time.
"It was going to be in my time, my terms never anyone else’s…" she posted on her Insta Stories.
