Kenyan YouTuber Nicholas Kioko has opened up about his painful past and hustles before fame.
The digital content creator revealed that no one used to care about him but with hard work and prayers he made it through.
He recalls how he used to wake up very early in the morning and camp at the Western Kenya route to look for customers.
He revealed that he worked as a beautician, applying nail polish and piercing ears for survival.
He stated that passengers used to look down on him telling him that he had no life thus making him feel like quitting.
The former Citizen TV Journalist gave special thanks to his mom for being there for him.
"There was a time no one used to care, but I kept working hard and praying a lot, waking up at am to apply nail polish in Western vehicles and also to pierce their ears...passengers used to tell me that I don't have a life...I almost gave up but who is God. Special thanks to my mom who kept on motivating me.#MunguAnasaidia" he wrote.
Having been brought up in a humble background, the 26-year-old was a hawker for three years till 2021 when he rose to stardom.
Nicholas's breakthrough moment came after uploading a clip of Lulu Hassan's interview with Onsongo comedy which garnered over 1 million views.
With his consistency, resilience, and hard work, Nicholas rose from 9.6k viewers to 100k viewers in a matter of weeks.
He is now a YouTube Silver Plate bearer with over 200 thousand viewers on his YouTube Channel.
