Boniface Mwangi is one of the toughest activists out where when it comes to dealing with societal ill, standing up to bullies with impressive zeal and fervor.

But beneath it all, lies a man with a soft mushy heart who has been in a committed marriage for the past 14 years.

The father of 3 has been married to Hellen Njeri Mwangi and the two have a marriage that has stood all the craziness in his life.

Yesterday on their 14th marriage anniversary, Boniface was enthusiastic when speaking about his  wife, writing,

'I have known this incredible woman @njerikan for 16 years. I’m a better human being because Njeri is in my life. If l had to do life all over again, I would still marry her. I know God loves me because He created Njeri for me. I love her to bits.'

For her part Njeri was also as effusive writing,

'Feels like yesterday… Just 14 years ago today I said I do to a love affair and to adventure. Mi I never imagined in my wildest dreams it would be this wild! I am glad to still do life with you and I pray that we do more together. To so many more!! Happy Anniversary my love 🤗'

Their marriage is a testament to an institution that seems to be on its deathbed if one looks at the current dating market.

Hope Boniface and Njeri can keep flying that flag and show that 'marriage works'.
