DJ Mo and Size 8-An example of a perfect marriage

The couple have faced serious issues during their 9 year marriage

The marriage of DJ Mo and Size 8 seems to be a bulletproof one. Why do I say that, despite the many crazy and heartwrenching issues that the celeb couple has gone through, they seem to keep getting stronger.

I would add that they have honourably validated the phrase 'Till death do us part" of their marriage vows.

How do I justify my stance? Let's take a look at a few instances in their marriage that would have caused the end of most other marriages.

Let's begin.

Size 8 packing up and living her marital home

The mother of two admitted that not only had she once left her home with DJ Mo but that she had also kicked him out of their marital home.

She once told Chito and Cyd on Kiss FM that at the time she still hadn't learnt how to control her emotions in the early part of their marriage and would overreact to small issues.

"Before I matured into a lot of things, I used to overreact, ata kuna day in 2016 nilifungia Mo nje, alikuta vitu zake nje na mlango nimefunga. I've really sumbuad, I have packed and gone and I have really overreacted. I have done all that and I thank God because right now I handle things in a very different mature way," she said.

Two miscarriages in their marriage

Size 8 once told Parents magazine that her first miscarriage in 2018 had nearly ended her marriage with DJ Mo, saying,

"The miscarriage really affected us. We fought a lot and we blamed each other since we did not know how to deal with it. It was very bad; but with our son, we were able to come together and support each other.

The interesting thing was that they got closer as a couple, "It has actually brought us closer as a couple, which is something we realised later," she said.

In October last year, the couple suffered another miscarriage with Size 8 suffering uncontrollable hypertension that reached a high of 213.

It was so bad that Size 8 was in danger of losing her life. This time though the couple came together, probably after learning lessons from their first miscarriage.

Working through dry spells in their marriage

The two worked through issues like a lack of intimacy with Size 8 revealing the news during their YouTube series, Dine with the Murayas. in 2020.

The 'Mateke' singer noted that she was not getting enough sex from her husband; pointing out that her hubby was too busy to meet her needs, saying, “Babe ninasema, hauwezi unafanya job mpaka haunifanyii job.”

The deejay defended himself saying that he found it difficult to be attracted to Size 8 in her uninviting sleepwear. But despite that issue, the couple seems to have found their mojo as far as bedroom gymnastics go.

DJ Mo cheating on Size 8

In late 2020, the System Unit owner was exposed as a cheater. Afterward, Mo profusely apologised but many wondered what the mother of his two kids would do in light of the expose'?

She stuck with him and forgave him. That such a terrible cheating scandal hadn't caused the demise of the marriage was the capstone that showed the union might actually go the distance.

In an age where marriages and relationships seem to end faster than they start, I am rooting for this couple to show it can last.

At the end of the day, a perfect marriage to me isn't one that lasts because there aren't any issues but despite them. In fact, in a perfect marriage, the issues make the couple's relationship grow stronger.

But what do I know? This is just my opinion.

Caveat-Abuse( especially physical) shouldn't be tolerated in a marriage.
