Kenya's best collaboration artiste, Mejja has been a constant presence in the music industry for the longest.

Yesterday the lanky musician showed of his beautiful mother to his fans and followers. And I won't lie when I say, Kenyans were thrilled.

His caption read, "My Mum And My Niece BARAKA The Reason Why I Work, FAMILY/Famere."

Mtoto wa Khadija as he calls himself has in the past spoken about how hard it was for his mother raising 3 kids on her own after their father up and left.

“I call myself Khadija because my father was a sperm donor. As a child, I didn’t understand the sacrifices she made for us. Sometimes, I would find her crying in the house and she’d act like nothing was wrong. When I grew up and had my family, I realized she went through a lot to raise three boys. After coming to Nairobi, people would always comment about the name saying it’s a woman's so I started insisting mtoto wa Khadija. She’s my inspiration,” he told Marlene Chepchumba in the past.

He added that growing up without a father figure was a big challenge for him something that has shaped his future decisions with his future kids.

“I faced so many challenges in my childhood which would have been easy if my father was there to advice, but I had to face it on my own. There are some things you can’t tell your mother as it would give her more stress,” he added.
