Mugiithi singer Samuel Ndirangu alias Samidoh has become a darling of many with his soothing music.

The message around most of his songs is love.

Well, in an exclusive interview with Gukena FM, Samidoh said the context of his music is basically about things he is going through in his life.

"It is usually art. I try to show the real life issues in form of art. Most of the times, I sing about love since most people can do different things out of love.

He was then asked what inspires him to write some of his songs.

"What happens, for me I think music comes depending on the period you are in and what you as a person, you are going through. For me, when am stressed, I am able to write love song easily. So stress mostly triggers me to do love songs very well."

He further explained that sometimes while he is stressed, his way of speaking to God is through music.

"Like my song 'Murata Wa Ngai' (God's friend) it is a conversation to me and my God. Very deep prayer I am having with God, there is art. In most cases, God answers my prayers."

Samidoh will be performing alongside other popular artistes Salim Young and Sammy Irungu in a Mugiithi show hosted by Gukena FM tomorrow at Maxland Hotel Juja, entrance fee is sh 500.
