A 22-year-old lady has been arrested after allegedly killing her grandfather by stabbing him in the face. It is reported that the lady carried out the act after the grandfather asked her to enter the bathroom and take a shower.
Police say that a 22-year-old Louisiana woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her grandfather in the face during a dispute over her cleanliness.
Carrington Harris from Keithville was taken into custody following the incident, which was prompted by her grandfather's request for him to take a shower.
On Wednesday, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office said: "Detectives said Harris and her grandfather got into an argument after he asked her to take a shower, a state newspaper reported.
She started destroying property inside the house and then turned off the electricity from outside," said the statement.
"Detectives say when the couple was trying to stop Harris, she ran away and grabbed a kitchen knife, which she used to stab her grandfather."
Later, Harris fled the home and hid in the nearby woods, only to be discovered several hours later by law enforcement, who found her hiding behind a neighbor's house.
According to reports, Harris was taken into custody and charged with two counts of misdemeanor domestic violence and one count of misdemeanor domestic violence with a dangerous weapon.
Harris is currently being held at the Caddo Correctional Facility for stabbing her grandfather. As of Thursday, no bond had been set.
