Cops are investigating an incident in which a burnt body of a man was found dumped on the roadside in Marigoini slums, Muthaiga.
Police who visited the scene concluded the body had been burnt beyond recognition.
Beside the body there was a five-liter jerrican which had an unknown chemical that could have been used to burn the body.
There was no indication that he was killed elsewhere and the body dumped there. The body was not immediately identified.
It was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy as part of the probe.
Elsewhere on Outering road near Shell petrol station, police recovered a body covered with a white bed sheet that had been dumped at a water tunnel.
A team that visited the scene said the body of an unknown female adult was found dumped and wrapped up with three-bed sheets rubbed with nylon rope and stashed in a gunny bag.
Police said they suspect the deceased was killed somewhere else before being dumped there.
The body was moved to the City morgue pending identification and autopsy.
No arrest has been made so far. Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said they are investigating both incidents.
