A video of a woman being manhandled by Matatu touts has gone viral on social media platforms.

In the video taken at a bus stage in Nairobi, the woman was approaching the station when 4 touts ran in her direction.

All the four, who wanted her to board their Matatu started engaging in a push and pull with her at the centre.

In no time, the frog matched her, lifted her up and forced her into a Matatu that was on standby.

Now, Jimal Marlow who is the  Chairman of the Association of Matatu operators has apologised for the incident and promised to take proper measures to curb it.

"This is wrong we apologize for this. We are organizing sensitization programs for our drivers, conductor and touts at the end of this month across the country," Jimal said after Mpasho shared the video.

The video has caused uproar in social media platforms, with other city dwellers saying they suffer the same fate in the hands of rowdy touts.

Most women have reported being victims of such physical assault from Matatu touts.
