Meanwhile, police in Naivasha town are investigating an incident in which a fight between a motorcycle operator and his client over charges left the latter dead.
The passenger collapsed in a heap and died minutes later following the incident in Karai estate along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
The two were arguing over Sh300 charges when a fight broke out on Sunday evening leading to the unfortunate death with the operator going into hiding.
Trouble started after the victim sought the services of the operator at around 9 pm to ferry him from one of the bars located along the highway to his home.
A witness Joel Kibe said that upon arriving at his home, the deceased could not remember his pin leading to a confrontation with the operator.
“In the process, the operator decided to take the drunken passenger to the Karai police post but they disagreed further leading to a fight,” he said.
He added that the operator left the deceased unconscious only for the body to be found on Monday morning by his kin.
Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed both cases adding that investigations had kicked off with one suspect arrested in connection with the Maella attack.
“The suspect in Maella attack will be charged in court with grievous bodily harm and have launched a manhunt for the motorcycle operator,” he said.
