KTN TV presenter Zubeida Kananu is mourning the death of K24 Head of Operations Daniel Chemjor.

Chemjor, died on Wednesday night after his car plunged into Cheploch Gorge in River Kerio along the Iten Kabarnet road.

Before his death, Chemjor had at some point worked with KTN. Kananu penning a touching message on social media, mourning the father of five.

'@danielchemjor still waiting for someone to report that what is being said about you is fake news....😭😭😭 my heart has refused to believe that you’re no more...I mean, how 😭😭😭😭,' she posted.

He died while headed to see his wife who had delivered via a CS.

His car rolled several times near the Kerio Valley Bridge after which it fell into the gorge.

The process of retrieving the body and the vehicle was halted last night due to darkness.

The car was retrieved at around 11.45 am on Thursday along with the body Chemjor.

According to Ahmed Omar, Elgeyo Marakwet Commissioner Daniel might have been over speeding.

'That car was a VERY high speed, he could not navigate the bend around this place. So he lost control and ended up in the river.'
