A day after KTN Swahili news anchor Ahmed Darwesh was laid to rest, messages of condolence continue to be received following his untimely death. Many Kenyans among them politicians continue to condole with the family, including former PM Raila Odinga who penned down a heartfelt message to the bereaved.

Betty Kyallo, a colleague to Darwesh was also quite affected by the death of her ever jovial friend. She wrote an emotional piece on social media in which she described Ahmed as a generous, caring and loving gentleman. Below is the letter she posted accompanied by an old photo that they took a while back, read through

"Dearest Daru, It has been so hard and so tough coming to terms with the fact that you are gone. I still can't believe it. You are one of the most genuine hearts I know, my buddy. You were caring, generous, full of life and a ball of energy. Every morning when you came to work you used to pass by my desk and we would laugh and talk for long about anything and everything.

We were so close, and that's why I'm broken. You were a great husband, a great dad and an amazing friend. Thank you for making me laugh every day, thank you for the many times we had lunch together, thank you for being there for me when I needed to talk to someone, thank your for your generosity and thank you for serving this country diligently. I'm sad Daru, so so sad. My heart is bleeding. I will miss you. I will never forget you. I love you. Sleep with the angels."
