Recently, Alai is reported to have hosted a number of Gor Mahia fans for a chicken eating fest  at a local pub in Lang'ata. after the meal, Alai refused to pay forcing the invited guests to avoid embarassment by raising the money needed to settle the bill.

After the incident, a fan by the name Gaddafi Were wrote this on facebook;

"Nyako machulo ne Alai rent cha en jiranda...opidho wuoyi opong' to ochaji....aisuru"

meaning....

"That woman who is paying rent for Alai is my neighbour.Alai is fed well nowonder he is fat)"
