Infidelity has always been listed as the major reason leading to a majority of divorces cases and break ups between spouses/partners.

In the recent days, multiple research findings have revealed that a lot of married people have involved themselves in extra marital affairs, at least once in their married lives.

Closer home, a research conducted by the Infotrak Research and Consulting has shockingly found Kenyan women as the main culprits of infidelity.

The findings indicate that half of married women in Kenya have a mpango wa kando.

Additionally, the research, conducted in September 2016 and sampled 800 respondents, indicates that of all the women in the country, married women from Western Kenya cheated on their husband the most.

85 percent of the respondents sampled in Kakamega, Busia, Vihiga and Bungoma said that they knew married women with clandestine lovers.

Their married counterparts in Nyanza came a close second with 84.8 percent of the respondents claiming they knew married women in illicit affairs.

Nairobi women came in third with 76.5 percent, followed by Rift Valley with 74.4 percent, Eastern (73.3 percent) with North Eastern recording 65.2 percent.

The findings, published by the Nairobian, also indicated that 77.2 percent of married women knew those with secret lovers.
