Kenyan woman Wanja Mwaura left many awed by her act of kindness in October last year. Wanja, who is said to be a nurse, helped her childhood friend Hinga, who was badly affected by drug abuse leaving him looking like a chokora.

Hinga was taken to a local rehab centre and after a  few weeks, he had transformed into a handsome man.

On 28th, he left rehab and he is currently doing well. With the help of his friend Wanja Mwaura, Hinga now owns a shop.

"Hinga will be out of rehab on the 28th of this month, we had to prepare on how and what he will be doing after rehab and where he will stay. As we all know he was living off the streets with nothing. He told me before he got fully addicted to drugs, he was hawking in Wangige market selling what we call "Mali mali". With the money we raised, we have opened a Mali Mali shop for him and gotten him a house to stay. Thank you to each one of you for your continued support and contributions. This was made possible by each one of us," read a post on Wanja's page.

There was also a homecoming and thanksgiving ceremony for Hinga at his home church in Wangige area. Many have praised Wanja Mwaura for being such a good friend and here is what she had to say about Hinga.

 "Hinga's Thanksgiving
