A family at Manga Sub County in Nyamira County has appealed to the government to thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to the sudden death of their kin on Friday night.

Daniel Ragira was allegedly in good health when he left home at around 7pm Friday for nearby Magombo market to buy some items for his family only to be reported dead two hours later.

According to his brother Mr Tom Mboya, they were called at around 9 pm and informed of his death.

“We are requesting investigation officers to thoroughly interrogate the two attendants at Relax inn bar in Magombo market, who took my brother to Roman Maternity and Nursing home hospital where he was pronounced dead. They should be tasked to explain the cause of my brother’s sudden death,” Mr Mboya pleaded.

On her part, Janet Mekonge said her brother-in-law was in good health when he left home to shop that evening.

“My brother was not sick and didn’t show any symptoms of sickness and his sudden death is shocking and highly questionable, something we want police to unearth,” she affirmed.

Ragira was allegedly found lying outside Relax inn bar by two bar attendants identified as Jackson Oguru and Benard Gichana and since they knew him well-tried to wake him up unsuccessfully.

That’s when they reportedly decided to rush him to Roman Maternity and Nursing Home within Magombo Market in Manga Sub County where he was examined and pronounced dead.

His body is being preserved at Tombe Medicare Centre pending postmortem.
