Wasafi’s Zuchu debuted the music video to her viral hit; Sukari on January 30, 2021. The widely received video produced by seasoned Tanzanian producer - Ayolizer - has garnered just under two million views in less than two days.

The colourful video embodies a mostly but not absolutely traditional setting, aptly switching between scenes but maintaining a flamboyant backdrop.

The video is a catch and taps sex appeal by presenting luscious video vixens, draped in traditional apparel; beaded necklaces and patterned fabric, dancing elegantly in the midst of greenery and young strapping shirtless men adding to the context.

The simplistic mellow lyrics and catchy hook and chorus ‘Ai sukari, a sugar sukari’ convey how love, sweet like sugar keeps you yearning for more.

The vocals and production find an almost perfect parity, which makes it something you can bop to in the club and as well listen to at home.

The 3 minute music video is marked by good simple choreography that doesn’t take away from the whole experience.

The video and its assemblage, props and models, coupled with good subtle dancing the music video is a treat and would have you hooked in no time.
