Boni Kahlwale is mourning the death of his first love and first wife.

The former Kakamega senator lost his wife, Adelaide Shikanga, on Saturday morning.

Adelaide breathed her lasts in the arms of the man she loved.

Boni narrated the wife's last moments saying, "She gasped her last breath in my hands during the resuscitation process.”

At the time, the wife had fallen unconscious.

He was alerted by the housegirl that Adelaide had fallen down and she needed his medical expertise ASAP.

Boni said that he used his training as a medical doctor to try and resuscitate her.

To no avail.

“My wife developed cervical cancer in 2003. She was treated at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital and recovered. She had undergone successful sixth chemotherapy at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital where it was cleared two months ago,” said Boni.

From Mpasho we send out heartfelt condolences to the Khalwale family as they mourn their loved one. May she rest in peace.
