Cancer cases are still high in Africa with many people dying due to cancer and cancer-related complications every year.

Yesterday, a former NTV Uganda news anchor Rosemary Nankabirwa succumbed to cancer at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi after she was pulled off life support. The bubbly presenter who was battling adrenocortical carcinoma cancer, an aggressive cancer originating in the cortex of the adrenal gland, had been hospitalized at Mulago Cancer Institute before she was brought to Nairobi's Aga Khan where she died.

Many Ugandans have come together to help  Rosemary's family clear the medical bill at Agha Khan Hospital among them President Museveni, who joined the fundraising activities.

RIP Rosemary.
