Tanzanian gospel star Rose Muhando has come out to defend the decision to charge a cool Ksh 50,000 per head for her album launch.

Speaking to Massawe Jappani on her Radio Jambo show today, Muhando didn't to take it lightly when a listener asked why the entrance charges were very exorbitant.

The listener asked if Muhando was trying to recover her lost wealth by charging that high.

A visibly agitated Muhando responded,

"Chris Brown akikuja hapa mutalipa ngapi? Mungelipa pesa mingi. then why is it when the concert is for building a temple for God you say it is alot."

She explained,

"Sina pupa ya kurudisha mali. I was born in Poverty, if it is to do with money i can get huge amounts by just singing as me. I would quit gospel and do secular and bag that money."

Adding,

"This question annoys me because the bible says seek ye first the kingdom of God and other things shall be added unto you..."

Muhando explained further,

"When i left the hospital i promised God that i would build a place of worship for him. This concert will aid in getting that money. I have never held an album launch in my entire career. This is the first and it is all geared towards raising money for God's house."
