Vincent aka Vince Dancer aka Don grabbed the headlines early March this year when he picked Ksh. 200,000 and returned it to the owner.

During his day-to-day routine in the busy and noisy streets of Nairobi, Vince who was then a cart (mkokoteni) pusher, saw a lady drop an envelope and he quickly took it and ran to her. He did not even ask for a single cent like many would do after doing something for you.

This left many mesmerized by Vince's act of kindness.

TODAY IN THE AFTERNOON, OUR BUSINESS NEEDED TO TAKE THE DAY CASH TO THE BANK, IT WAS AROUND 4PM. LIKE ALWAYS, I PICKED UP A BAG, PLACED AROUND 700K IN, UNFORTUNATELY, TODAY, THERE WERE LOTS OF 500/200 NOTES SO THE STASH TOOK UP MORE SPACE THAN NORMAL.

EACH BUNDLED INTO 100K AS ALWAYS, PRESSED IN THE BAG AND HEADED ON TO THE BANK. ON THE WAY HOWEVER, THE ZIPPER ON THE BAG CAVED IN AND SPAT OUT 2 BUNDLES OF NOTES ~ 200K.

DIDN’T NOTICE IT, PROCEEDED TO CROSS THE ROAD FROM KIMATHI STREET HEADED TO KENYATTA AVENUE.

Vince who is an alumni of St. Paul's University was an intern at Kenya Airways then got job at a local supermarket but was later shown the door as part of the ongoing retrenchment exercises by ailing corporates.

This left him stressed and he resorted to doing odd jobs in the city’s downtown areas, where he used to carry luggage for people before he was rescued by a good Samaritan.

“HIS NAME IS VINCENT AN ALUMNI OF ST. PAUL’S UNIVERSITY LIMURU. HE IS KNOWN TO BE A KIND PERSON SINCE SCHOOL TIME, I PERSONALLY SCHOOLED WITH HIM. GUYS FROM ST. PAUL’S UNIVERSITY ARE TRYING TO HELP HIM, HE HAS A VERY SAD STORY BEHIND HIS SMILE. HE IS A GRADUATE IN BBIT.

He continued, “He needs help and can be found always on Kimathi street. Help him if you see him. The mother and the father passed on, and they were chased out of their home by the uncles and aunts. He has other siblings also suffering like he is. He lost his job in a retrenchment in one of the supermarket chain stores. He tried many things to feed the family including hawking handkerchiefs. Doing websites for guys and later was employed as a cart Pusher in Wakulima Market .Despite his dirty looking status he has been paying the young siblings bills while sleeping on the street at Mfangano. He is a very respectful guy and well brought On the street, he might have learned few bad things but his true character remains. He is actually depressed and needs treatment and help,” read a post by a former schoolmate," read a message by Vince's friend user that left Kenyans touched.

Well, four months down the line, Vince who was taken to rehab is fairing on well and he took to social media to thank Kenyans for helping him.

"Hi guys yea yea it's me Vinny aka Don who returned 200,000 4 months ago I know up to now i still say the Lord has his miraculous ways of working so I chose Rehab for treatment first so now it's back to the real world recovery is a process and believe me the hardest process I've ever gone through but i Pray that God aendelee kukuwa na mimi.  i thank all my social media fans, if now only i had a permanent job or atleast something to give me rent, fare and food clothing will come in time but i THANK you all and hope for your continued support I LOVE YOU all and May God Bless you."
