Prophetess Monicah has narrated how her first marriage after high school failed.

She attributes the failure to the fact that she was forced into marriage due to an early pregnancy.

The stylish woman of God got pregnant after she cleared form four forcing her into an unplanned marriage.

Speaking during an interview with DJ Macdee, the mother of two shared,

'I was born in Naivasha but grew up in Mombasa before coming to Nairobi to seek greener pastures.

In form four I had a boyfriend due to peer pressure,

After high school I came to Nairobi and I ended up getting married. after I got pregnant.

I got married because I had never had sex and I felt I had 'failed' because I was a Christian and a preacher since my childhood.

I was also worried on how people would say.

I did not want to get married but circumstances forced me to.'

Monicah added,

'In 2007 is when I got a waitress job.

I used to work as a waiter around bus station at a hotel named Msafiri.

People loved me because I am very quick.

We used to be paid Ksh 150 per day. It was a lot of cash because I had a son.'

My marriage only lasted an year plus. 

We were always fighting as none of us was ready to get married. We then decided to part. He took me back home and told my parents about it.

That's how we parted.'

Her advise to anyone facing such a scenario is,

'Man is to error, people fall and it's normal, staying down is what makes you a failure.

If you fall wake up, dust yourself and move on.

Don't be bothered about what people will say, after all they don't feed you nor pay your rent '
