Kenyans are always surprised when their politicians show off some secret skill such as dancing or singing. This past weekend Winnie Odinga did a freestyle that showed off how much of a lyricist she is.

Winnie Odinga
The daughter of Azimio leader Raila Odinga has severally shown us her rap skills.
This past weekend, she was hanging out with rapper Breeder LW and as they sat in a car, she performed a freestyle as did he.
In April 2023 in an exclusive interview with Mpasho, Miss Odinga showcased just how well she raps. Her love for rap comes from musical influences like Khaligraph Jones, Trio Mio, Boutross, Wakadinali, Nameless, and Jua Kali.
William Ruto
President William Ruto in September 2020, impressed Kenyans singing in Kikuyu. He was leading a church service and his fluency won over worshippers singing along. Those standing beside him looked on stunned as he sang all the verses.

The Nairobi governor can pull off any rap song if you give him a chance.
The hunky politician was once a musician and during the lockdown shared a sample of what he can pull off featuring his two adorable sons.
In another instance, Sakaja also showed that he had begun his musical game very early in life. He featured in a gospel song called Save Me Saviour.
The throwback of the song stunned many who were not aware that he had mad skills.
The cool kid also rapped for Nyashinski to open his YouTube channel, where he freestyled 'Kebs', one of the artistes most popular songs.

While his focus now is politics delivering his pledges to the electorate using the hashtag Pamoja Tutabadilisha, nonetheless we name him among leaders who have musical backgrounds.
