Voters in Eldas constituency in Wajir county will go to the polls to elect their leaders on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

Elections in the constituency were postponed Tuesday over security reasons.

"Elections in Eldas constituency have been adjourned due to security reasons and voting shall commence tomorrow at 6am," Chebukati said in a statement on Tuesday.

Voters in Kakamega and Mombasa counties will return to polling stations to elect the Governor of choice on August 3.

IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati said on Monday ballots for those elective seats had the wrong images of candidates and their details.

The elections were suspended alongside parliamentary polls in Kacheliba and Pokot South constituencies over ballot mix ups.
