• "Pressure! More so if he is handsome, he is really loved." - Mwanaisha Chidzuga

Married to former Garsen MP Danson Mungatana, TV personality Mwanaisha Chidzuga describes dating politicians as a big challenge.

According to Chidzuga, the pressure is worse when the politician is as handsome as her husband.

"Pressure! More so if he is handsome, he is really loved," Mwanaisha Chidzuga said in an interview on Radio Jambo.

Despite the challenge, Mwanaisha Chidzuga says she manages to hold her marriage firm.

"Any woman should know her man, even if he is not a politician. Trust is important. Knowing your partner is the foundation."

Her marriage is guided by unwritten rules, and they manage to separate family responsibilities from politics.

"I am a wife, and a mum, I must look after my husband. Same to him, when he comes from campaigns, he knows he has a wife at home. He should look after his wife and kids," Mwanaisha Chidzuga shared.

While Mwanaisha Chidzuga is eyeing the Matuga Parliamentary seat, her husband Danson Mungatana will be contesting for the senatorial position in Tana River County.

This, she says, will not deny them a chance in raising their young family.

"When I was a journalist, it had its own pressure, travelling here and there. But everything is about planning. Our children have grown up and if we have to travel we can go with them."
